Mission Peak is a very popular hike in the Bay Area. Part of the East Bay Region Parks, the hike to the famous peak (2500 ft) is considered 'moderate to hard'. We went well after the winter rains were over and when the path was dry. It was early spring and the mountains were covered with lush green meadows and wildflowers. Before the spring ends, the heat turns all these hills yellow. Till then, this area looks as pretty as Switzerland ;-)
