ASAD - 12

Some Shers are plain and simple. All they achieve is to make you smile! They boast no more. Out of these some become very very famous. They become famous to the extent that, every use of them sounds like an abuse to the Shayar who first wrote it. Because the original wording is forgotten, it's original intention overlooked and the name of the Shayar remaining totally unknown.
Here is one striking example. The Sher was written almost 100 years ago by the Shayar of the ultra-famous GHazal "aahista aahista".
unko aata hai pyar pe GHussa,
hume GHusse pe pyaar aata hai
- Amir Minai
How many times have you heard something similar, but NEVER exact, from the Heroes and the Villians, in all those typical situations ? How many times Amir Minai's soul must have turned in the grave ? :-(
- Abhay.
ASAD _also_ stands for "A Sher A Day" !
